Despise Him Not

“So the poor have hope,

And injustice shuts her mouth.

Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;

Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.”

Job 5:16-17 [NKJV]

He who walks upright fears the Lord.

 He who is perverse in his own ways despises him.

When you acted sinfully, and are willful, you despise God and disregard what He is saying to you.

No matter how much God speaks, if you are not budging, if you say in your heart "This is the way I like it", then what you say to God is

"It is my way not your way".

 If you want God's way then allow God to work in you.

Allow Him to break you because He has a plan for your life.

An upright person has to work in the fear (reverence) of God.

You are not too small or too big that God cannot break you.

You can be used by God because He loves you.

He gave his life as a ransom for you.

Reverence of the Lord leads to life;

It does not lead to corruption, it does not lead to ignorance, it removes you from sin and it leads to life....

Life in Christ.

“For I proclaim the name of the Lord:

Ascribe greatness to our God.

He is the Rock, His work is perfect;

For all His ways are justice,

A God of truth and without injustice;

Righteous and upright is He.”

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 [NKJV]
