• The Scriptures: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to mankind and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)
• God: We believe that there is only one true and living God, existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 2:9; Matthew 28:19; John 1:14; John 10:30; 1 Timothy 3:16)
• Jesus Christ: The Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35). That he shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father, according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
• Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is our Comforter and He will guide us in all areas of our lives. The Holy Spirit also blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit. He baptizes the believer into the body of Christ, permanently dwells in him and seals him in salvation for all eternity. (John 14:15-17; John 16:7-15; Titus 3:4-7; Matthew 3:11; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22)
• Mankind: Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;" (Genesis 1:26). But man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. (Romans 5:12-19)
• Salvation: Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, at Calvary. We believe that all who, in faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God. Salvation involves redemption, justification and reconciliation. (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 5:7-11; Romans 10:9-10; Colossians 1:13-14, 21-22; John 1:12-13; John 17:16-22; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
• Baptism: We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the believer’s death to the power and bondage of sin and subsequent resurrection to newness of life in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4)
• Communion: We believe that through Communion (The Lord’s Supper), we remember the incomparable love of God that was extended towards us in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
• Eternal Life: We believe in Eternal Life in Heaven for the believer and the Eternal punishment of the unbeliever in the Lake of Fire. (John 5:24; John 10:27-29; Matthew 25:41-46; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:14-15)
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."Romans 10:17 (NKJV) |
"Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants." 1 Kings 3:15 (NKJV) |
